Why Choose Windsor?

There has been lots of talk about people moving to Windsor, especially those retiering.

The Windsor area does offer many benefits to those living here:

-Cheaper living, property ownership and rentals are cheaper
-Warmer weather than most of the country
-Close to DTW so flights to anywhere are close by and cheaper than in Canada
-Close to Detroit, so concerts, sports including college and all the major leagues

Is spring finally in the air?

Its been a cold winter this year in Windsor. But the last week the temperatures have finally started to creep above freezing. Does this mean spring is finally here? Now that its April tomorrow lets hope so.  Its almost time to get those gardens started, and the warm days are ahead. Time to celebrate!

MFC 29 Coming To Windsor

Thats right, MFC 29 is coming to Caesars Windsor on April 8th 2011.

Tickets go on sale March 4th 2011.

Now that ontario has legalized MMA fights in the province it didn't take long before Windsor has gotten itself an event.

It should be pretty exciting, and hopefully a start to more events for us!

Snowstorm

Well that was some snowstorm Windsor got. Not quite as much as some people were calling for but it was still a lot of shoveling, and a lot of people got the day off.

Hopefully that's the last big storm we get this year.

So much winter this year

Does it seem like this years winter just keeps dragging on to anyone else? Maybe its all the snow we have had, I don't think its been an overly cold winter anyhow.

I'm hoping another month or so and days will be a lot sunnier and of course much warmer.

Oh well.

How's life in Windsor

So I've been busy this year, moving, working, and life in general but I'm happy in Windsor Ontario. Things are pretty good, I'm ready for Winter to be over however.

The auto show is going on over in Detroit right now, so thats pretty cool, but I'm looking forward to spring, and festivals coming back to town. Here is a picture from last years freedom festival.
